5 reasons why a Lunar Immersion can be an answer to the most common struggles of our time.

A different perspective on gravity

“It’s true, the scale can only give you a numerical reflection of your relationship with gravity. That’s it. It cannot measure beauty, talent, purpose, life force, possibility, strength, or love.”

Steve Maraboli

From the moment we’re born out of the watery weightless world of the womb into the outer world we develop our own unique relationship to gravity. All of us have been carried somehow one way or the other when we were really small. And then, somehow, one day, we were told we’re too big / too heavy / too old for that.

The question I’ve been investigating in ever since I met the practices that seem to defy gravity in every action, such as acrobatics and gymnastics, is: Did WE get too heavy / old / big or did THEY miss the right technique, time, lever, motivation. I’m not saying I still want to be carried around the house by my mother. I’m saying my physical experience allowed me to feel the tremendous power of being carried on someone’s feet with care and softness, of being held in wholeness in a mutually beneficial position in massage, of being flown in a way that took me right back to that watery weightless awesomeness that must happen when we’re in the womb.

It leaves us with the profound refreshing experience that we can access this state of being also when we’re grown up and don’t fit into the hands of our parents anymore. It gives us tools to enter into a creative state holding this space for us and others… which finally lets us step out into the world as confident, sensitive, powerful, aware beings walking our path with a different perspective on gravity.

In a Lunar Immersion we take 5 sacred days to explore the tools and techniques to create exactly this: A free and profound relationship to gravity, using it as a tremendous helper to access lengthening, decompression and floating.
