Authenticity

“Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embrace who we are.”

Brene Brown

If you noticed… I’m one day late! Why? Because I gave up ownership of my day yesterday at around noon and haven’t been able to get it back, happily. A dear friend came over with her daughter for lunch after which the girls started to play together being deeply content and we smiled over an adult conversation without interruptions (my heart sighs happily as I write this). She decided to skip her daughters afternoon nap and soon we had two naked girls running around the garden in the late October sun while we giggled about how amazing it must be to run around like this in the last warm sun rays of the year.
I was supposed to train, practice, prepare the evening Vinyasa class, do promotion and admin for upcoming events… instead I took advantage of the company of my friend and husband and retreated back into the bedroom for a nap I heavily needed, hung out for another hour with hot cacao and a good conversation and then went to the studio for a super creative improvised class (psssst, don’t tell my Monday class).

“Authenticity is the daily practice of letting go of who we think we’re supposed to be and embrace who we are.”

And sometimes be REALLY MADLY CRAZY (see picture below) in order to keep laughing at the intricate ways of life. Thank you Pascal Weis to keep expanding my idea of authenticity into a beautiful openness into what ever wants to be celebrated, serious or crazy...

Nothing left to add.

I’m curious about your authenticity practice today!!!
